Why Tiên Studio

Why Tiên?

In Vietnamese, tiên is the word for a fairy — a kind of celestial being, graceful and a little otherworldly, the sort of figure that shows up in old folk tales wearing something no one else could. It's also a name close to us, one we wanted to build something around rather than just borrow for the sound of it.

Every look is made to order, in small batches — no stockpiled inventory, no mass runs. We believe a well-made gown takes time to get right, not time to get out fast.

Process · How it works

From order to delivery

Because each batch is produced to order in limited quantities and shipped internationally, please plan for a 4-6 week wait per order.

01 · Day 0

Reserve with a 60% deposit

Choose your look and size, and pay a 60% deposit to secure your spot in the current batch.

02 · Week 1–2

Into production

Once the batch is confirmed, the workshop cuts and sews each piece to your exact size.

03 · Week 3–4

Quality check, packed

Every piece is inspected by hand, with photo confirmation sent before packing and shipping.

04 · Week 4–6

Arrives, balance due

Once your order clears customs in the U.S., we collect the remaining 40% and ship it to your door — free over $250.

FAQ

What to know before you order

You pay a 60% deposit to reserve your piece and start production. The remaining 40% is charged once your order clears U.S. customs — before it ships to you. You'll get an email when it's time to pay the balance.

Please check the size guide carefully before ordering. If a piece arrives in the wrong size due to a production error on our end, we'll exchange it for the correct size at no cost — we don't offer alterations, and we can't accept returns simply for a change of mind.

The listed price includes the cost of the piece, international freight, and U.S. import duty. Domestic shipping within the U.S. is billed separately and added when the balance is due — free of charge on orders over $250.

Yes — full deposit refunds are available within 48 hours of ordering. Once production has started, the deposit becomes non-refundable, though we're happy to apply it to another look currently open for pre-order.

We'll reach out a few times to collect the balance once your order arrives. If it goes unpaid after a reasonable window, the order is cancelled, the deposit is forfeited, and the piece may be resold. Please make sure your contact details are current.

No — the corset top and skirt are fitted to each other and sold only as a set.

Policies

Terms you're agreeing to when you order

The short version is above, in Process and FAQ. Here's the fuller policy for reference.

A 60% deposit reserves your order and is used to fund production. The remaining 40%, plus any domestic shipping due, is charged once your order clears U.S. customs. Deposits are refundable in full within 48 hours of ordering; after production begins, deposits are non-refundable but transferable to another open look. Orders with an unpaid balance after repeated contact attempts will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited; the piece may be resold at our discretion.

Because every piece is cut and sewn to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind, size preference chosen incorrectly by the customer, or delays in placing your order. We will exchange, at no cost, any piece that arrives in a size or condition that does not match your confirmed order due to a production error on our part. Claims must be made within 7 days of delivery, with photos of the issue. Approved exchanges require the item unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, and returned in its original packaging — items showing signs of wear will not qualify for exchange.

Listed prices include product cost, international freight, and U.S. import duty at time of order. Domestic U.S. shipping is calculated and billed when the balance is due, and is waived on orders over $250. Timelines (4–6 weeks) are estimates, not guarantees — customs processing, carrier delays, and events outside our control (including changes to import duty rates) may extend delivery. Tiên Studio is not liable for delays caused by customs, carriers, or force majeure events, or for packages confirmed delivered by the carrier to the address provided.

Prices are set at time of order confirmation and may change for future batches due to shifts in duty rates, exchange rates, or material costs. Product photos are as accurate as possible, but color may vary slightly by screen and lighting. Measurements follow our published size guide; we're not responsible for sizing chosen without consulting it.

Placing an order constitutes acceptance of these terms. Tiên Studio reserves the right to limit order quantities, decline any order, and update these policies for future batches; changes won't apply retroactively to orders already placed.
